The deputy prosecutor of the Zaporozhye region was exposed for taking a bribe. The bribe amount is $40,000.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
According to RBC-Ukraine sources, We are talking about the Deputy Prosecutor of the Zaporozhye region Natalya Maksimenko.
The SAPO said that on Monday, September 23, the deputy prosecutor of the Zaporozhye region was exposed for receiving $40,000 in illegal benefits. Upon receipt of the entire amount, she was exposed “in the heat of the moment.”
It was found that the deputy regional prosecutor promised to resolve the issue of changing jurisdiction in criminal proceedings for undue benefit. She promised to ensure that the seizure of property is cancelled, and that no criminal prosecution is imposed based on the results of the pre-trial investigation.
Primary investigative actions are currently ongoing. Preliminary legal qualification of the actions of the prosecutor – Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of informing the person of suspicion and choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that the SBU and NABU, with the assistance of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, exposed a large-scale corruption scheme. It was organized by the Deputy Minister. As a result of a special operation, an official was detained in Kyiv while receiving a bribe in the amount of half a million dollars.
